Works closely with teachers to identify a parent/parents that will represent each grade level as a Grade Level Volunteer. Throughout school year, serve as PTSO contact person over grade level volunteers and school staff to promote school events; disseminate school-wide information; assist grade level teachers with contact list; works closely with Teacher Appreciation Coordinator during Teacher Appreciation week.
Family Night Out Coordinator aka Dinner Night Out
Partner with local businesses in our community to host the monthly event; plan, coordinate and attend the dinner night out.
OCCUPIED COMMITTEE POSITIONS
Box Tops Coordinator -
Responsible for promoting the program; monitoring the online account; keeping staff informed; collects, counts and sends in the Box Top labels monthly; organizes classroom parties twice a year for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
PTSO EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS - Occupied for 2017/18
The Board positions will be great for anyone with strong communication, technical & multi-tasking skills and a willingness to work harmoniously and effectively with others. Creative insight, friendliness, resourcefulness and dependability are a plus!
President - Linda Partridge
Serve as leader and key contact for the PTSO. The President will oversee all PTSO meetings; appoint chairpersons for committees; oversee the work of all Board members and Coordinators to ensure PTSO’s objectives are being met; works closely with Board to plan/coordinate/execute all fundraising events & classroom programs. Serve as member to all committees; confer with Principal and Board regarding school community wants/needs, plans for the year, and progress toward goals; oversee implementation of budget; responsible for speaking at various events including Kindergarten orientation, Back to School nights, etc.; attend PTSO sponsored events.
The Past President remains on the PTSO Board and serves on the Executive Board as a link of continuity from last year throughout the next school year. This person traditionally chairs the nominating process.
Vice President, Communications - Jill Perez
The Vice President shall act as an aide to the President; perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to serve; assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Board. Oversee website and social media. Maintain online calendar, update forms and information. Responsible for continual proofing and editing of site content throughout the year. Send e-mails to volunteer contact list to keep them informed about various events. Work closely with School Staff, Principal, and PTSO Board/chairs to gather all school events’ details to include in school e-mail blasts and newsletters. Publicize and communicate PTSO and School programs. Announce upcoming school and PTSO events using all possible channels of communications. Perform all other duties assigned including attending PTSO sponsored events.
Vice President, Events - Tracy Caruso
The Vice President shall act as an aide to the President; perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to serve; assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Board. Oversees the planning and execution of all fundraising events; administer each fundraiser; coordinate the volunteer effort necessary to complete the plan; oversees all existing PTSO fundraising activities by assisting Coordinators and volunteers with program organization & recruitment of new volunteers; perform all other duties assigned including attending PTSO sponsored events.
Treasurer-Book - Laura Miyazaki
Responsible for the financial records and funds for PTSO. This includes reporting on budgets, accounts payable transactions and reimbursements, accounts receivables, reconciliations and other financial responsibilities. Will also assist in developing the budget with the Board; deposit monies; disburse funds as authorized by the Board; prepare financial reports for PTSO meetings; prepare the books for the annual external audit. Performs other duties as assigned including attending PTSO sponsored events.
Treasurer-Bank - Nikki Gallardo
Assists Treasurer-Books with annual external audit; assist with developing the budget with the Board; receives monies collected for PTSO; assists with disbursing funds for PAT and Mini-Grants; deposit monies. Performs other duties as assigned including attending PTSO sponsored events.
Secretary - Stephanie Wolfley
Will prepare agenda for monthly meetings. Responsible for recording the meeting minutes of all PTSO meetings; prepare correspondence that will be provided to VP, Communications to send out to WWA community; serve as the contact person to maintain/update the volunteer contact list; perform all other duties assigned including attending PTSO sponsored events.
